Port Support Vessel, a multi-purpose port ship

SYM Naval started its shipbuilding activity based on experience in the field of naval conversion for shipowners around the globe. In this blog article we present the new Port Support Vessel, a multi-purpose port ship.

A port ship for different support tasks

The Port Support Vessel is our latest multi-purpose vessel design trained to carry out ship support work at anchor, deck cargo transportation, emergency towing, crew change, and ship debris collection. All this in a single ship for port use.

With just under 24 meters of freeboard length and close to 1,000 hp of power, the SYM Naval Port Support Vessel is built to support up to 150 tons of deck cargo and up to 200 m³ of liquid cargo. Furthermore, following the guidelines of the International Convention to Prevent Pollution from Ships (MARPOL), this new naval build for port use has a flash point above 60º.

Steel and aluminum port ships

In addition to being specialized in the construction of port ships, SYM Naval is the only shipyard in the Spanish Mediterranean that uses steel in the construction of vessels classified by classification societies belonging to the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), thus guaranteeing the high standards of safety and quality required internationally.

Using cutting-edge software and innovative design technology, we offer tailor-made solutions for the most demanding shipowners. The result is high-quality port ships technologically adapted to European and international shipbuilding regulations, also complying with the corresponding flag requirements.
